Michigan Motorsports Hall of Fame inducts Classes of 2020 & 2021

Racing, legends encompassing all types of motorsports were inducted into the Michigan Motorsports Hall of Fame in n induction ceremony in Mt Pleasant, Mich. on November 13, 2021. 

Inductees represented Oval Racing, Drag Racing Road Racing, Rally Racing, Snowmobile Racing, and involvement as Officials, Crew Members, and Speed Shop owners.

Kyle Metdepenningen grabs the win in The Vault Antiques & Treasures ARCA Enduro 250

Kyle Metdepenningen finished 2nd in  the opening round of The Vault Antiques and Treasures ARCA Enduro 250 behind his brother Rayce, but this time it was his turn to take the win after a race long duel with Tadek Stadniczuk.  Kyle was presented the trophy in the Monroe Asphalt Winners Circle by Brian Oberle of the The Vault Antiques & Treasures much to the delight of his many family members in attendance. 

Rayce Metdepenningen set fast time at 13.824

Paul Pelletier grabs birthday 50 lap feature win in Moran Chevrolet ARCA Outlaw Late Models

Paul Pelletier scored his first feature win this season on Jet’s Pizza night in Moran Chevrolet ARCA Outlaw Late Models after a race long duel with Justin Schroeder. It was the New Boston, Michigan’s birthday, and he celebrated in fine fashion as he was treated to the fans singing “Happy Birthday” in the Monroe Asphalt Winners Circle.

Max Fair wins crash marred ARCA R&M Recycling Late Model Sportsman feature at Flat Rock

Max Fair ran up front for most of the race and managed to dodge a lap 20 big crash to score his very first feature win. The 4th generation driver, who hails from Milan, was joined in the Monroe Asphalt Winners Circle by Grandfather Harold Fair Sr, and dad Harold Jr. He was driving the #104 made famous by great grandfather Hugh Fair.

Grant Hedges #46 led the first 20 laps and looked like he was cruising to the win until a big crash on a lap 20 restart.

Mike Young #23 set fast time with a 13.013 sec lap. Heat races were won by Grant Hedges and Todd Perkins

Jakob Lee takes first feature win of season at Flat Rock in ARCA Figure 8.

Jakob “Big Hoss” Lee took his first feature win of 2021 in the 20 lap ARCA Figure 8 feature on Jet’s Pizza Night over Dennis Whisman Jr and Greg Studt

Heat race winners were Eugene Worden, and Ethen Lambert.  with Whisman Jr setting fast time with a 20.709 second lap

Brian Bergakker wins Drive Train Specialists Joy Fair Memorial 100 for ARCA Moran Chevrolet Outlaw Late Models

Brian Bergakker, of Middleville, Michigan, once again showed his mastery of Flat Rock Speedway as he scored his 2nd win in the prestigious Joy Fair Memorial 100 named in honor of Flat Rock’s most prolific winner. Joy won 10 Late Model championships and a remarkable 159 feature wins in his illustrious 50 year career. Brian not only won, he had to do it the hard way, as he was relegated to the rear of the field after an early incident.

Bergakker also set fast time with an 11.600 second lap
