Justin Claucherty #7, of Napoleon , Michigan won the prestigious 100 lap ARCA Moran Chevrolet Outlaw Late model feature. Justin was joined in the Monroe Asphalt Winners Circle by members of the Fair family. It was his second win at Flat Rock, adding to his opening night triumph last season.
Debby Fair DeLong, Joy’s daughter, talked about her dad in pre race and his incredible record of 159 feature Late Models wins at Flat Rock during his 50 year career, including 10 track championships. Joy passed away in December 2011. He was both my hero and a friend.
The staff from the famed I-500 Snowmobile race was present to promote that event to Motor City race fans with a pair of race sleds and racers, and later joined Justin in Victory Lane.
